Grant from Edison International

On December 20, 2011, the IWVCA received a letter from Edison International giving us a grant in the amount of $3,000.00 for the Student Education Outreach Program.

Earlier in the year, Edison International had sent notification that they were unable to support programs such as ours due to lack of funding. They have since identified additional funding and blessed the IWVCA with this wonderful grant of $3,000.00.

Their letter read, in part, "In an effort to remain key partner to our community, we have identified additional sources of funding to invest into programs such as yours, which we were unable to support earlier in the year. Though our current priority areas of funding remain within education and the environment, we have expanded our support at year end to include other areas where there is high need in the community, to make the strongest impact during these challenging times."

The IWVCA is very grateful to Edison International for selecting us to receive this much-needed grant which will allow us to continue to serve the students of the Indian Wells Valley and surrounding communities by providing top-notch music, dance, and drama programs for their cultural and educational enlightenment. These programs are frequently the only exposure to the atrs that these students are afforded, and the Edison International Grant will go a long way toward allowing the continuance of these educational outreach efforts by the IWVCA.

The Board of Directors of the IWVCA and the full membership offer their most heartfelt Thanks to Edison International for this much needed Grant.
